Search: We all are looking for good reliable, trustworthy, and honest person to clean the house. One starting point could be your friends and ask for recommendations and their experience with the person. Many advertise in their local church bulletin board. Many service providers leave their contact information on mail boxes in the neighborhood. Instead of looking for a person, some look for help from nationally recognized companies that are providing the service.
The deal: Communicate clearly your expectations. Discuss what you want as well as what you don’t want. Discuss special handling requirements for expensive carpets, furnishings, decorative pieces and other valuable items. Talk about cleaning products and voice any concerns you may have with certain household cleaning products. This becomes more critical if someone in your family has allergies to certain chemicals. Make sure both parties understand the difference between domestic help and cleaning services.
